La Ferme de la Montagne. Ein malerisches, an eine Abteil erinnerndes Bed & Breakfast-Gehöft, traumhaft gelegen auf einer Anhöhe bei Resson le Long, einem kleinen Dorf irgendwo zwischen Reims und Paris. Früher wurden hier Alkoholika gebrannt und Pferde gehalten. Heute kommen Tourist:innen, Yoga-Fans, Monteure und Partygäste mit Vorliebe für rustikal-ländliches Ambiente.
Der Ort umschmeichelt seine Gäste mit dem diskreten Charme des französischen Laissez-faire, mit Pool, hochzeitstauglicher Stallung, mittelalterlichem Kaminsaal und langsam vor sich hin zerfallenden Steinschuppen, in denen allerlei Zeug aus vielen Jahrzehnten herumliegt.
Einmal im Jahr findet hier das traditionelle Freunde-Treffen von Karin und John statt. Tage voller Gelassenheit, entspanntem Miteinander, gutem Essen und guter Gespräche. Mit Leuten, die sich zum Teil nur hier treffen, für eine besondere Zeit an einem besonderen Ort.
Diese Fotoserie widmet sich nicht dem Offensichtlichen. Sie zeigt Details, Farben und Perspektiven, deren ästhetische und atmosphärische Reize erst beim Rumstöbern in den vielen Ecken und Winkeln, beim genauen Hinsehen ins Auge springen. Auch sie erzählen die Geschichte dieses Ortes.
La Ferme de la Montagne. A picturesque bed & breakfast farmstead reminiscent of a compartment, beautifully situated on a hill near Resson le Long, a small village somewhere between Reims and Paris. In the past, alcoholic beverages were distilled here and horses were kept. Today, tourists, yoga fans, fitters and party guests with a preference for a rustic, rural ambience come here.
The place envelops its guests with the discreet charm of French laissez-faire, with a pool, stables suitable for weddings, a medieval chimney room and slowly decaying stone sheds in which stuff from many decades lies around.
Karin and John's traditional friends' get-together takes place here once a year. Days full of serenity, relaxed togetherness, good food and good conversation. With people who sometimes only meet here for a special time in a special place.
This photo series is not dedicated to the obvious. It shows details, colors and perspectives whose aesthetic and atmospheric charms only become apparent when you rummage around in the many nooks and crannies and take a closer look. They also tell the story of this place.
La Ferme de la Montagne. Die Grundstruktur des Hofes ist erhalten geblieben. Teile der Gebäude sind modernisiert, Teile auch nicht. Vergangenheit und Gegenwart zur gleichen Zeit. Der Misthaufen in der Mitte und die Pferde auf der historischen Aufnahme sind freilich Geschichte.
La Ferme de la Montagne. The basic structure of the farm has been preserved. Parts of the buildings have been modernized, parts have not. Past and present at the same time. The dung heap in the middle and the horses on the historical photo are of course history.
